Lola & Dave Youngman

Lola grew up in suburban Detroit Michigan. After graduating from Central Michigan University with a degree in music education, she taught music in elementary schools for 20+ years. Lola now teaches private piano lessons and sings in three musical groups: Thelonious Acappella group, Capital Transit (three part harmony with piano, sax, flute, bass, guitar, and drums), and the Dave & Lola Trio (piano, sax, guitar, and bass). She put out a CD a few years ago called Lola Youngman “This Can’t Be Love."

Dave grew up in the Bronx, NY and went to the High School of Music and Art and the University of Buffalo. A computer programmer by day and musician by night for many years, he plays piano, saxophone, clarinet, guitar, & bass. He has played in many rock bands and blues bands and has played the Blue Note Cafe in Durham and the side stage at Walnut Creek. His Blues Band was written up in Downbeat Magazine in 2003. He put out an instrumental CD, called Last Half Hour in which he played all the instruments, and wrote all the songs (except one: "Norwegian Wood").
